No Images, No Beauty?

January 17, 2004 | View Comments (6) | simpl(e)y asking

How many sites have you come across recently where the only image is a logo and yet the site was still beautiful? Very rarely do we come across true minimalist gems and we are in search of a few. Does anyone know of any goods ones out there? They can even be table-based. We are just wondering what effect does images play in people's minds when it comes to beauty. Do you really need "fluff" to make a site attractive? rxfastfind.com

This is a topic we will be exploring a lot this year.

There are a few of them out there, here's my list:

http://chud.ca/
http://9rules.com/whitespace
http://unraveled.com/
http://textism.com/
http://web-graphics.com/

There are probably more, but these are the ones that stand out, currently, in my mind.

N.B. Some of them do have very small iconified graphics for use with lists and other things, if that disqualifies them, by all means feel free to remove them.

Much thanks for inclusion on your short list. Minimalism has always been a passion of mine and I strive for it on my site. Cheers.
