We will freely admit that our rendition of FARK.com might be a tad unreasonable seeing how we ignored ALL the banner ads and the other sections of FARK and simply focused on the one aspect that makes FARK what it is. The headlines. We despise the look of the category images, but everyone identifies with those, so we felt it was best to keep them. The rest of the site is simply a cut to the chase type site. You come for the headlines, all you get are the headlines. tl-pharmacy.com
The ability to quickly choose archive dates and categories should only increase the amount of time users spend on the site, which is good for a site like this that depends on ads and click-throughs.
In the end though, procrastination and time limits got the best of us on this design.

By no means a bad rendition. There should be room on the sides to add the various advertisements in as well, if someone was going to be picky about them.
I can't say I personally agree with the colour you've chosen to use, as it has no ties whatsoever with the existing Fark.com (probably the point in your using it). All-in-all, however, very nicely done, very bloggish :)
Well the color just happened to be "the color of the day" when we were designing the site. We allow this stuff to be our release from the client work that sometimes restrains us.
FARK really is nothing more than a blog with comments (format-wise) and the blog format is pretty solid, so really there was no reason to back away from it.
The site itself is a small (very small) improvement over FARK, but is definitely one of those designs you wish you had more time to do.
ah, if only it were so.....
